Key focus areas include eradicating poverty, promoting sustainable agriculture, enhancing education, and ensuring access to clean water and energy, with SDSN Cameroon (established 2022) and the UN providing support
Key SDG Focus Areas and Progress in Cameroon:
- Poverty & Hunger : Strategies aim to drastically reduce poverty and improve food security through sustainable agriculture.
- Infrastructure & Energy : Efforts are focused on increasing access to electricity, modernizing energy, and expanding renewable energy sources by 2030.
- Health & Education : Focus is on reducing maternal mortality, expanding quality education, and improving sanitation.
- Environment & Climate : Contributiing to to lower emissions, fight deforestation, and invest in resilient infrastructure.
- Governance & Peace: the focus is on strengthening institutions, promoting inclusivity, and fostering peace.
